Scrabble Word Finder
Enter your rack. Find every valid Scrabble word, sorted by length and point value. TWL for tournament play in North America; SOWPODS for international and online games.
How to use the Scrabble Word Finder
Type the seven letters from your rack into the input above. If you have a blank tile, use ? in its place — the finder treats blanks as wildcards. Switch to SOWPODS in the dictionary dropdown if you're playing internationally or online (Scrabble GO, Pogo, ISC).
Results are grouped from longest to shortest. The longest word that fits is usually a 7-letter bingo earning the +50 bonus, but a strategically placed 4-letter word over a triple-letter score often beats a longer play with no premiums.
TWL vs SOWPODS — which dictionary should I use?
- TWL (Tournament Word List): used in North American Scrabble Association tournaments. ~180,000 words.
- SOWPODS / Collins: used in the rest of the English-speaking world and online. ~270,000 words — adds British and international vocabulary.
High-value Scrabble plays
The biggest scoring opportunities come from premium tiles (J, Q, X, Z) on premium squares (double/triple letter or word score). Browse our highest-scoring Scrabble words, study the Q-without-U list, and memorize the two-letter words — those three lists alone will add 30+ points to a typical game.
